Submissions

Patient-Reported Outcomes has become a prominent subject in clinical trials; clinical practice; patient, family, community, and public engagement; qualitative studies on the development and application of PROs; and studies of the social and behavioral determinants of health using PRO measures. Therefore, the journal's scope reflects the wide application of patient-reported outcomes and research in the biological and social sciences. Manuscript submissions of original work are subjected to peer review for originality, scientific quality and relevance to a broad readership. JPRO welcomes scientific articles in a number of categories, which are further defined in the journal’s Submission Guidelines.

JPRO levies an article-processing charge of $1500 USD for research and reviews, and $750 USD for short report articles, commentaries and book reviews accepted for publication. Additional information regarding fees and funding is available on the journal’s website.
